That's why our shoes, like all our boys' wellies, are easy to clean so your children can move freely and enjoy themselves without worrying about getting too dirty. For this reason, besides the rain, we think rubber boots are the perfect footwear for your children to wear during the autumn and winter months to play in the park or go to the countryside; even if it doesn't rain, the ground is always damp from low temperatures, and wet sand and mud are everywhere!
When you get home, it's very likely their new wellies will be more than a little dirty! Even though they are specially made for this, we recommend you follow these simple steps to keep them looking perfect!
1- Shake them to remove excess sand and mud, or gently tap one against the other. This way, any debris that isn't "stuck" to the boot will come off easily.
2- Remove large clumps of mud that remain after shaking; it's better to remove them before the next step so the boot doesn't get more smeared and the rubber doesn't get scratched.
3- Wipe with a damp cloth: now it's time to scrub! But just a little. Using a wet cloth, wipe the whole boot well so the residue falls away.
4- Or use a jet of water!: this is a faster option if you have a hose or outdoor tap: hold the boots by the leg and give them a good rinse.
5- And let them dry!: with a clean cloth, dry them gently. You can also leave them to air dry, but be careful: water drops can leave marks and direct sunlight will fade the colour!
